Things people ask us

How long does each service take?

Quartz care and seal checks are generally completed within one to two working days. Pre-owned inspections are usually ready the same day or the following morning. Mechanical movement services take longer — typically five to ten working days, depending on parts availability and the condition of the caliber.

Do I need to book an appointment to drop off a watch?

Walk-ins are welcome during workshop hours. If you'd prefer to arrange a specific time — particularly for a mechanical service discussion — sending a message in advance means we can set aside proper time to go through your piece without rushing.

What does the pre-owned inspection cover?

The inspection assesses movement function and performance, case condition (including crown and pushers), crystal clarity, dial and hands, and bracelet or strap integrity. The resulting written report notes current condition and any service recommendations, so both parties in a private sale have a shared factual reference.

Are the listed prices final, or can they change?

The prices shown are the standard service fees. In very rare cases — for example, if a mechanical caliber has a damaged component that requires sourcing — any additional cost would be discussed and agreed with you before any extra work proceeds. Nothing is added without your knowledge.

Do you work on all brands of watch?

We work on a wide range of quartz and mechanical pieces across most brands and origins. Certain highly specialised modern calibers with proprietary components may be outside what we can source parts for. If you're unsure, get in touch before visiting and we'll let you know honestly.

Is my watch safe while it's with you?

Watches in our care are stored securely at the workshop at all times. We log each piece on intake with notes on its condition so there's a clear record. You receive a collection receipt when you drop off, and nothing leaves the workshop without it being presented.
